Tailgating For Students

All Mercer students are invited to come out and enjoy Mercer Football Saturdays. This season brings new activities and events surrounding football for Mercer students to enjoy! Students have a variety of great options for tailgating this year that are free and open to all Mercer students!

Student Organization Tailgating

We are encouraging all student organizations to tailgate on Black Field. For select games, a limited number of gift cards will be distributed to student organizations that request tailgate assistance, as long as the organization is tailgating on Black Field. Please email campuslife@mercer.edu to request a gift card. Limited supply for each game.

1. Get your supplies ready for tailgating. If a gift card is confirmed, student organizations may stop by Campus Life on Thursday after 12 noon to pick up.
2. Request a tent from Campus Life and pick up by Friday at 4pm. Sign out at the front desk of Campus Life and return by Monday at 5pm. (Limited supply of tents each game)
3. Each organization may use one table located on Black field for their tailgate. Please be sure to use a tablecloth on all Mercer tables.
4. Set up your tailgating equipment on game day on black field. Set up tailgates anytime day of the game. Space is first come, first serve on black field.
5. Tailgate with friends on Black Field. Enjoy live music with the Ford Concert series, games, exciting special events and food on black field before the game!
6. Line the walkway 2.5 hours before kickoff to support the team as part of the BEAR Walk!
7. Head to Five Star Stadium to cheer on the Bears!

Be sure to remove all tailgate equipment and trash immediately following the game.

Each home football game will also include exciting giveaways and promotions in the student section of Five Star Stadium. All students receive a free ticket with Mercer ID. Students can purchase buddy passes for $5 each at the ticket office all week from 10-2 in the University Center or on the Visitor side ticket window.
